How do I register for a class?

You can enroll in most of our courses here on our website by clicking on the course you wish to attend.   This will take you to a registration page where you can submit your payment information and secure your seat in the class. Most of our classes are repeated often so please be sure to choose the correct date and time that meets your needs.  You can also register by calling us or visiting our office.

Why do I need to pre-register?  Can't I just walk in?

Walk-ins are accepted if seats are available but cannot be guaranteed.  There is an additional "pay at the door" fee of $5.00 if the instructor processes your enrollment and payment at the class.

What if I want to pay cash?

You can stop by our office Monday through Thursday from 9am-5pm or Friday from 9am-4pm.  Payment must be received to guarantee your seat in the class. To ensure someone will be available to assist you, it is recommeded that you call us prior to visiting.  Our instructors do not carry cash so if you pay at the class, please bring the exact amount for your class, book and pay at the door fee.  We cannot accept any bills greater than $20.00 at our classes.

I need an American Heart Association card.  Are your courses AHA?

Our BLS, Heartsaver CPR, Heartsaver First Aid, ACLS, PALS and PEARS courses are AHA courses.

When will I receive my card?

The type of class you take dictates the type of card you will receive and when you will receive it.

AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION COURSES:

THE AHA NOW REQUIRES ALL CARDS TO BE DISTRIBUTED AS "eCards".  You will receive an email  from the AHA describing how to claim your card online within 72 hours of course completion.  If you have not received the email within 72 hours, please contact us AFTER CHECKING YOUR JUNK/SPAM MAIL FOLDER.  If you have difficulty with the AHA website when claiming your eCard, please contact the AHA directly.   Click here for more information on claiming your eCard.

ALL OTHER COURSES:

Some course cards are available at the end of the class session and others require longer processing.  Cards are  usually available within 1 week of the course.  If you require an immediate card, please contact us prior to enrolling.

How long is my card good for?

Most of our programs are valid for two (2) years.

Will I get CE hours for my course?

Yes.  We provide California BRN CE certificates to licensed medical professionals for advanced courses free of charge.  You must provide your license number and discipline to obtain your certificate

I lost my card and/or CE certificate.  How to I obtain a new one?
For AHA eCards, simply revisit the AHA site to access your card.  If you received a physical card and need a replacement or a new CE certificate please click here to order.

Why do you require I have a book for AHA courses?

The AHA requires that students have access to a current (2015 or later) book before, during and after the course so that they can refer back to the material once they have become certified.   If you already have a book, bring it to class or you will be asked to purchase one.

Do I need to study before the class?

There are no pre-course requirements for BLS or CPR/First Aid classes.  For ACLS & PALS however, you must obtain your book and study guide prior to the class to allow adequate preparation.  You are also required to complete the online pre-course assessment with a score of 84% or better.  Please bring your pre-course score sheet with you to class.  The directions for accessing the pre-course assessment can be found on page "ii" in your provider manual.   Course Primers for ACLS & PALS can be found under the RESOURCES tab above.
