Classroom Courses for the General Public
CPR & AED plus First Aid
Anyone can take this 8 hour course but it is ideal for those involved in child care or who have a duty to respond to a first aid emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements. This course meets California's strict requirements for:
child care workers, teachers, foster care workers,camp counselors, youth organizations and coaches for children’s sports organizations. This course is also ideal for parents, grandparents and guardians. Course covers CPR, AED and First Aid for adults, children and infants. This course is NOT suitable for students in or entering Health Care fields.
Super Sitter - Baby Sitting Certification Class
This fun filled 8 hour course is for 11-15 year olds who are interested in learning how to become the best babysitter ever! In addition to lots of babysitting info, this class also includes first aid, fire safety and CPR. Successful students receive a CPR card, First Aid Card, Babysitting Certificate and lots of other cool stuff!

CPR & AED
This 4 hour course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in adult, child and infant CPR and AED to meet job, regulatory or other requirements. It is also ideal for parents, grandparents and anyone else with the desire to learn to address a cardiac emergency. This course is NOT suitable for students in or entering Health Care fields. This course is typically scheduled for group training only.
First Aid
This 3 hour course teaches First Aid skills for common injuries and illnesses. Learn how to assess an emergency scene and give patients the basic care they need until the Emergency Service Team arrives. Course topics include how to treat:
Choking, breathing problems, shock, bleeding, broken bones, burns, bites, stings, poisoning and temperature related emergencies.
This course is typically scheduled for group training only.
Bloodborne Pathogens
This 1-2 hour course is designed for anyone with a reasonable chance of coming into contact with bloodborne pathogens
such as correctional officers, childcare workers, security guards, maintenance workers,school personnel, hotelhousekeepers, health and fitness club staff and tattoo artists. This course is typically scheduled for group training only.
Wilderness First Aid
This comprehensive 16-20 hour course meets the Boy Scouts of America Wilderness First Aid curriculum and guidelines. Topics covered include caring for injuries, environmental hazards, biological hazards and medical emergencies.
Home Alone
This 4 hour course is designed to help prepare your 7-11 year old to be safe when they are home alone. 1 parent or guardian is required to attend this course with their child (at no charge) so that the strategies taught can be discussed and reinforced at home.
CPR 4 Kids
This 4 hour class is so much fun, the kids won't realize they are learning something until it is too late! It is designed to teach children from 6 to 11 years old how to recognize a cardiac emergency and what to do about it, such as calling 911, performing hands only CPR and how to relieve choking. Topics also include how the heart and lungs work and healthy habits (diet, exercise, etc.) to promote cardiac wellness. All kids will perform CPR on manikins so they should dress comfortably. Parents are welcome to observe but not required to stay.
